These senior positions will play a key role in leading operations, projects and multidisciplinary teams within a highly regulated biotechnology and pharmaceutical environment. Successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring that business objectives are delivered while maintaining exceptional standards of quality, regulatory compliance, safety and operational excellence.

The Opportunity

Senior Biotech Managers will provide leadership across complex programmes and operational activities, working closely with quality, manufacturing, engineering, validation, regulatory and technical teams.

The role requires experienced professionals capable of managing priorities, developing high-performing teams and ensuring that all activities are completed in accordance with GMP and applicable regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide senior leadership across biotech and pharmaceutical operations and projects.
• Lead and develop multidisciplinary professional and technical teams.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, quality systems and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee major projects from planning through implementation and final delivery.
• Manage budgets, resources, timelines, risks and performance targets.
• Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
• Support audits, inspections, validation and regulatory activities.
• Ensure appropriate quality, change-control and documentation procedures are maintained.
• Work closely with senior stakeholders, suppliers and specialist contractors.
• Identify operational risks and implement effective corrective actions.

Candidate Specification

Candidates should hold a relevant qualification in Biotechnology, Science, Engineering, Pharmaceutical Science or a related discipline.

Significant management experience within a biotech, pharmaceutical, life sciences or similarly regulated environment is required.

Candidates should demonstrate strong leadership, decision-making, project delivery and stakeholder-management capabilities, together with an excellent understanding of GMP and quality systems.
