Amazon Announce Significant Recruitment Drive in Dublin
Amazon has announced another significant recruitment drive in Ireland, with more than 200 new jobs being created across its Dublin operations, providing fresh opportunities for people looking to enter or progress within the logistics and e-commerce sector.
The new frontline positions will be based across Amazon’s fulfilment centre in Baldonnel and its delivery facilities in Rathcoole and Ballycoolin. The Baldonnel operation, which opened in 2022, already supports more than 700 jobs and has become an important part of Amazon’s expanding Irish distribution network. Amazon currently employs around 6,500 people across Ireland.

Alongside the recruitment announcement, Amazon confirmed an increase in its minimum starting pay for frontline operations employees to €17.10 per hour from 27 September 2026, an increase of €0.65 per hour. Since 2022, Amazon says its minimum starting rate in Ireland has increased by approximately 27%. Eligible frontline employees will also receive free Amazon Prime membership, alongside benefits including a pension plan, employee discounts and flexible shift options.
The announcement demonstrates the continuing demand for people across Ireland’s rapidly changing logistics, fulfilment and e-commerce sectors. Opportunities with major employers such as Amazon can provide an entry point into the workforce as well as pathways towards supervisory, management and specialist careers.
