Crane Drivers – Multiple Roles

Opportunity Overview

MyJobs is currently seeking experienced Crane Drivers / Crane Operators for a number of opportunities with a confidential client based in Edinburgh.

These positions offer experienced operators the opportunity to work on major construction and development projects across Edinburgh and the surrounding area. Candidates must have a strong commitment to workplace safety and be capable of operating lifting equipment accurately and efficiently in busy construction environments.

Key Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be responsible for:

• Operating cranes safely and in accordance with site procedures and lifting plans.
• Carrying out daily pre-use inspections and safety checks.
• Working closely with appointed persons, lift supervisors, slinger/signallers and site management.
• Following agreed lifting plans and method statements.
• Ensuring loads are moved and positioned safely and accurately.
• Maintaining clear communication with ground teams throughout lifting operations.
• Reporting equipment defects, hazards or safety concerns immediately.
• Complying with all relevant health and safety requirements.

Candidate Specification

Applicants should have previous professional experience operating cranes within construction, civil engineering or infrastructure environments.

Candidates will normally be expected to hold an appropriate and current CPCS or NPORS crane operator qualification/card relevant to the type of crane being operated.

A good understanding of UK construction-site health and safety requirements is essential.

Applicants should be dependable, safety-conscious and comfortable working as part of a coordinated site team.

Desirable Experience

Experience operating tower cranes, mobile cranes or crawler cranes on major construction projects would be advantageous.

Additional lifting-operation qualifications and experience working on large commercial, residential or infrastructure developments would also be welcomed.
