Opportunity Overview

MyJobs is seeking an experienced Senior Fund Administrator for an established client operating within Hong Kong’s international financial services sector.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced fund administration professional to take responsibility for the accurate and timely administration of a portfolio of investment funds. The successful candidate will work closely with investment managers, custodians, auditors and other professional service providers while ensuring high standards of financial control, reporting and client service.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Fund Administrator will:

• Prepare and review daily, weekly and monthly Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations.
• Review fund accounting records, valuations, fees, accruals and investor transactions.
• Perform cash, position and portfolio reconciliations with custodians and prime brokers.
• Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks and valuation discrepancies.
• Coordinate subscriptions, redemptions, capital activity and distributions.
• Assist with financial statements, regulatory reporting and year-end audit processes.
• Liaise with auditors, investment managers, banks, custodians and other external parties.
• Maintain appropriate records and ensure compliance with internal controls and operational procedures.
• Support and review the work of junior fund administration colleagues.
• Contribute to improvements in systems, controls and operational processes.

Candidate Specification

Candidates should hold a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline, with at least 3–5 years’ relevant experience in fund administration, fund accounting or investment operations.

Strong knowledge of NAV calculation, reconciliations, financial reporting and investment products is essential. Experience with hedge funds, private equity, alternative investments or offshore fund structures would be advantageous.

Candidates should demonstrate excellent analytical ability, attention to detail and strong communication skills. Professional accounting qualifications or progress towards CPA, ACCA or equivalent would be desirable.

Fluent written and spoken English is required, with Cantonese and/or Mandarin an advantage.
