The Opportunity

MyJobs is inviting applications for a Hotel Receptionist position in Edinburgh.

This is an excellent opportunity for a friendly, professional and customer-focused individual to join a busy hotel environment. The successful candidate will be an important first point of contact for guests and will help ensure they receive a warm welcome and excellent service throughout their stay.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and manage check-in and check-out.
• Handle reservations, enquiries and guest requests.
• Answer telephone, email and in-person enquiries.
• Process payments and maintain accurate guest records.
• Provide information about hotel facilities and local attractions.
• Liaise with housekeeping and other hotel departments.
• Resolve guest queries professionally and efficiently.
• Maintain a professional and welcoming reception area.
• Support the wider hotel team when required.

Candidate Specification

Candidates should have:

• Excellent customer-service and communication skills.
• A friendly and professional manner.
• Good organisational and computer skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a busy environment.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends when required.

Previous hotel, reception or hospitality experience would be an advantage, although applications from candidates with strong customer-service experience are also welcomed.

The Role

This is a full-time position based in Edinburgh. Full details regarding the hotel, working hours, remuneration and employment package will be provided to suitable applicants.
