Speech & Language Specialist

Location: Birr, County Offaly

The successful candidate will work as part of a professional and supportive multidisciplinary environment, delivering high-quality assessment and intervention programmes tailored to individual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

The Speech & Language Specialist will undertake comprehensive assessments, identify communication needs and develop appropriate individualised intervention plans. The role will involve delivering evidence-based therapy, monitoring progress and adapting programmes where required.

You will work closely with individuals, families, carers and other professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to care and support. Maintaining accurate clinical records, preparing reports and contributing to multidisciplinary meetings will also form an important part of the position.

Candidate Specification

Applicants should hold a recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy or an equivalent relevant discipline, together with the appropriate professional registration or eligibility to register in Ireland.

Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong assessment and report-writing abilities, and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Experience working with children, adults or individuals with additional communication needs would be an advantage.
