Opportunity Overview

MyJobs is seeking an experienced and highly organised Privacy Analyst for a confidential client based in Islington, London.

This is an excellent opportunity for a privacy professional to play an important role in supporting the organisation’s data protection and privacy programme. The successful candidate will work across multiple business functions, helping ensure that personal information is managed responsibly and in accordance with UK data protection requirements.

Key Responsibilities

The Privacy Analyst will:

  • Support compliance with UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, PECR and relevant privacy requirements.
  • Assist with Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and privacy risk assessments.
  • Manage and support Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) and other individual rights requests.
  • Maintain Records of Processing Activities (ROPAs) and related privacy documentation.
  • Review data-processing activities and identify potential privacy and compliance risks.
  • Support investigations into data breaches and privacy incidents.
  • Work with IT, Legal, HR, Compliance and operational teams to embed privacy-by-design principles.
  • Assist with third-party and supplier privacy assessments.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and emerging privacy issues, including those associated with AI and new technologies.
  • Support privacy awareness programmes and staff training.

Candidate Specification

Applicants should have previous experience within privacy, data protection, compliance, information governance or a related discipline, together with a strong working knowledge of UK GDPR and UK data protection legislation.

Candidates should demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate complex privacy requirements clearly to both technical and non-technical colleagues.

Experience with DPIAs, DSARs, data mapping, incident management and privacy compliance documentation is particularly desirable.

Desirable Experience

A recognised privacy or data protection qualification such as CIPP/E, CIPM, BCS Data Protection Practitioner or equivalent would be an advantage.

Experience of privacy management platforms, international data transfers, AI governance or technology-driven privacy risks would also be beneficial.
