The Opportunity

MyJobs is seeking an experienced Legal Manager – Property for an exciting senior opportunity based in Singapore.

The successful candidate will provide high-quality legal advice across a diverse portfolio of property and real estate matters, supporting transactions, developments, leasing arrangements and wider commercial activities.

This position would suit an accomplished property lawyer looking to move into, or further develop, a senior in-house legal career within a dynamic international environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on property acquisitions, disposals, developments and investments.
• Draft, review and negotiate leases, tenancy agreements and other property documentation.
• Advise senior management on legal and regulatory matters affecting real estate activities.
• Manage legal aspects of property development and commercial transactions.
• Review and negotiate contracts with developers, contractors, consultants and other third parties.
• Identify and manage legal and contractual risks.
• Ensure compliance with relevant Singapore legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with external legal advisers where specialist advice is required.
• Support dispute resolution and property-related litigation where necessary.
• Develop and maintain appropriate legal policies, procedures and documentation.

Candidate Specification

Candidates should be qualified lawyers with significant experience in property, real estate or commercial law. Strong drafting, negotiation and analytical skills are essential, together with the ability to provide practical commercial advice to senior stakeholders.

Experience gained within a major law firm, property organisation, developer, investment business or substantial corporate environment would be particularly relevant.

Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication skills, sound commercial judgement and the ability to manage multiple complex matters simultaneously.

Desirable Experience

Knowledge of the Singapore property market and regulatory environment would be advantageous, as would experience of major developments, commercial leasing, property investment or cross-border transactions.
